In cooperation with the Amesbury Council on Aging, join Assistant Library Director Stephanie Smith for a book group geared toward older adults that will meet 2nd Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. New members are always welcome! This month we are meeting one week early, on December 3.

This month we will discuss Sandwich by Catherine Newman.  We will also have copies of the next month's book in regular print and large print available to borrow using your library card. Copies of the book will also be available for pickup at the Amesbury Public Library. 

About the book: Rocky has enjoyed summers with her family on the Cape for decades. This summer promises to be the same, despite the conflicting pulls of her growing children and aging parents, and her own hormonal bouts of rage and melancholy. Over the course of the summer, she'll be plunged into her own past as well, reliving memories both bitter and sweet.
