Freed Between the Lines: Banned Book Read-In
Friday, September 279:30 AM—5:00 PMSide LawnAmesbury Public Library149 Main St., Amesbury, MA, 01913
In recognition of Banned Books Week, we are having a Read-In! Bring a book or pick a book from our collection of books that have been banned or challenged in parts of our country (including our state). Come on your own, bring a friend, bring the kids...come for a few minutes or stay for a few hours! This will take place in our outdoor programming space. We'll have some tables, blankets, and a couple of chairs but bring your own chairs or blankets to set out as needed! Celebrate your freedom to read any book you choose!
We'll have donuts and books to choose from!
Banned Books Week has been recognized by the American Library Association since the 1980s. For more data or information on what books are banned or challenged, visit: https://www.ala.org/bbooks
